分离

分离 refers to an employee leaving the university, whether through resignation, 退休, termination or non-renewal. 分离 policies are dependent on the employee's classification. This page focuses on staff separation. For policies on faculty separation, please refer to the 教务长办公室.

注意: The supervisor may ask an employee to use any accumulated annual leave or comp time before their last day of work. However, remember that in order to maintain insurance coverage through their last day of work, the employee must work on their last day. The final day cannot be taken as annual leave or comp time.

工作人员 resignation and 退休

When an employee resigns or retires, they must provide the supervisor with a written notice (email is acceptable) that includes the date of their last day of work. The supervisor accepts the resignation in writing and provides both the notice and the acceptance to 人力资源.

工作人员 termination or non-renewal

In case of termination or non-renewal, please see the policies and templates below. Note that non-renewals for exempt staff must be delivered at least 60 days before the end of the contract period. Review exempt staff nonrenewal process and deadlines.
